Enhorabuena!!

Last week I started in the Japanese art of calligraphy, Shodo (书 道, “the way of writing”). It is an ancient art, very difficult to perfect, which is to write words in hiragana, katakana or kanji characters with a brush and ink (from finely ground charcoal).
This art is a source of wisdom, but all Japanese in this art began in elementary school, few are those who continue to study and perfect.
It is strongly linked to the martial arts, it requires to reach inner peace found to be fully concentrated. This art is within the pedagogy of Bushido, the one used to educate the Samurai, is within its ten arts: fencing, exercise with the bow, jiujitsu, horseback riding, use of the spear, tactics, calligraphy, moral, literature and history .
Although I am still starting in this art, and given that until the time comes to be prepared will be too late (my classmates has an average of 80 years and still learning) I allowed myself the luxury of writing the name of Niobe, the newborn daughter of my friends Monica and Ximo in hiragana and kanji, to congratulate them, you can see how it has been working in the photos.
Congratulations!
